Our goals are to follow in Serge Lifar's footsteps and to protect, defend and perpetuate his name and memory.<\/p>\n<p>Serge Lifar was among the artists who introduced neo-classical ballet. He was appointed Ma\u00eetre de Ballet of the Op\u00e9ra de Paris, from 1930 to 1944 and again from 1947 to 1958. Serge Lifar endeavored to restore technical excellence of the Ballet de l'Op\u00e9ra de Paris, making it, from the 1930s to this day, one of the greatest ballet companies in the
